Starting with the present situation of boulder strip buildings in Jinyun old town,this paper outlines the development course of Jinyun boulder strip buildings,and summarizes the characteristics of large quantity and rich types through field investigation.Through the analysis of the historical,scientific,artistic and emotional values of the buildings themselves,the paper summarizes the strategies for the protection and reuse of boulder strip buildings in Jinyun old town:integrating resources to create characteristic cultural venues;Construct the system and create the theme cultural block;Open up the ecology to develop cultural tourism routes.It is hoped that these boulder strip buildings will continue their life and the historical culture of the old city will be inherited.
