Objective To observe and analyze the curative effect of grilled nux-vomica on cognitive dysfunction after ischemic stroke.Methods A total of 90 patients with acute and recovery ischemic stroke admitted to the first affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University,from January 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,45 cases in the observation group were treated with grilled nux-vomica capsule combined with conventional treatment,and 45 cases in the conventional treatment group were only treated with conventional treatment.The National Health Center Neurological Deficiency Score(NIHSS),modified Rankin Scale(mRS)score,Activities of Daily Life Scale(ADCS-ADL)score and comprehensive efficacy were compared before and after treatment in the acute period and recovery period.Results The average NIHSS,mRS and ADCS-ADL scores after treatment were better than those before treatment in the acute period and the recovery period of the observation group and the conventional treatment group(P<0.05).In the acute period and recovery period,the differences of NIHSS,mRS and ADCS-ADL scores before and after treatment were better in the observation group than those in the conventional treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion Grilled nux-vomica can improve cognitive dysfunction after ischemic stroke,but its mechanism remains to be further explored.
