Objective To investigate the effect of 70°hard tube laryngoscope in the extraction of hypopharyngeal and upper esophageal foreign body.Methods A total of 198 patients diagnosed with hypopharyngeal and upper esophageal foreign body were collected from the Department of Otolaryngology,Tongde Hospital,from January 2022 to February 2023.Among them,121 cases were hypopharyngeal foreign body.There were 77 cases of upper esophageal foreign body.Analyzed the application effect of 70°hard tube laryngoscope in different parts of foreign body.Results In the patients with hypopharyngeal foreign body,120 cases were removed by 70°hard tube laryngoscope and 1 case by electronic gastroscope.Among the patients with upper esophageal foreign body,19 cases were removed by 70°hard tube laryngoscope.41 cases were removed by electronic gastroscopy,5 cases were not found by electronic gastroscopy,3 cases were removed by esophagoscopy,and 9 cases fell off spontaneously.Fish bone was the most common type of hypopharyngeal foreign body,accounting for 86.78%.Among the types of upper esophageal foreign body,fish bones accounted for 38.96%and various bones accounted for 41.56%.Conclusion 70°hard tube laryngoscope has the advantages of convenience,speed and nice visual field in the application of foreign bodies in hypopharyngeal and upper esophageal foreign body.For patients with clear exposure and good coordination of foreign bodies,especially foreign bodies above the plane of the hypopharynx and the 6th cervical vertebra of the esophagus,70°hard tube laryngoscope can be prioritized for removal.
