Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of ultrasonic visualization acupotomy and conventional akupotomy in the treatment of adhesive periarthritis of shoulder. Methods 84 patients with adhesive periarthritis of shoulder who were treated in our hospital from May 2020 to September 2022 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional akupotomy.the observation group was treated with ultrasonic visualization acupotomy. The clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared, and changes in McGill pain scores, modified Constant-Murley shoulder function score(CMS),the shoulder range of motion, serum of interleukin 6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)levels and adverse reactions were compared. Results The healing rate in the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The scores of McGil,the scores of modified CMS,the shoulder range of motion(internal rotation, external rotation, flexion and up-lifting,posterior extension, abduction)and serum of IL-6 and TNF-α levels in both groups were improved when comparing with those before treatment(P<0.05),and all above mentioned indications were improved in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was lower in the observation group than in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion The therapy of visualization acupotomy guided by musculoskeletal ultrasound in the treatment of adhesive periarthritis of shoulder is better than that of conventional akupotomy,it can further improve clinical symptom and physical sign, significantly enhance clinical effect and have a high safety.
