Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of modified microneedle V-shaped painless acupoint embedding in the treatment of simple obesity. Methods 70 cases of simple obesity patients meeting the experimental criteria were randomly divided into the modified microneedle V-shaped painless acupoint embedding group and the acupuncture group, each with 35 cases.and the changes of body weight, body mass index(BMI),body fat mass(BFM),body water mass(TBW),inorganic salt mass, skeletal muscle mass(SMM),quantitative score of pain, and adverse reactions of the two groups before and after the treatment were observed. And the data were statistically analyzed. Results The total effective rate of the modified painless acupoint embedding group was 84.85%,much higher than the total effective rate of the acupuncture group of 67.74%,and the comparison of the efficacy of the two groups was significant(P<0.05).The weight,BMI and BFM of the two groups decreased after the treatment, and the decrease of modified painless acupoint embedding group was greater than that of the acupuncture group(P<0.05).The content of SMM in the modified painless acupoint embedding group increased after the treatment, while the content of SMM in the acupuncture group was significantly reduced(P<0.05),and the TBW and the inorganic salt mass of patients in the two groups did not change significantly before and after the treatment(P>0.05).The results of the quantitative pain score showed that the degree of pain in patients in the modified painless acupoint embedding group was significantly lower than that in the acupuncture group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse events such as infections in both groups, and there was one case of a patient with needle-sickness in the acupuncture group. Conclusion Modified microneedle V-shaped painless acupoint embedding for the treatment of simple obesity has remarkable efficacy, and at the same time,it can significantly reduce the pain, and it is more safe, painless, and is worthy of further promotion and application in the clinic.
