Objective To evaluate the feasibility, safety and efficacy of fibrin glue packing in the treatment of type Ⅰa internal leakage during endovascular exclusion of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm. Methods Forty-seven cases of abdominal aortic aneurysm rupture diagnosed in our hospital from October 2010 to January 2022 were reviewed.Forty-five patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm were treated with endovascular graft exclusion. There were 36 males and 9 females, the mean age was(70±4)years(range from 28 to 93 years).13patients(28.9%)were treated with fibrin glue tamponade.Aortic CTA was performed at 3,6 and 12 months after the operation. Results 13 cases were treated with fibrin glue tamponade during the operation. The internal leakage disappeared during the operation, and the patients were discharged from hospital in a stable condition.During 1-year follow-up,3 of 13 patients died of non-aortic causes, and no endoleak was found in the remaining 10 patients by CTA at 3,6,and 12 months after the operation. Conclusion fibrin glue packing is safe and effective in the treatment of type Ⅰa internal leakage of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.
