Objective To investigate the in vitro effect of traditional Chinese medicine kaempferol combined with meropenem on zcarbapenem-resistant Aeromonas,in order to lay a foundation for the treatment and control of infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Aeromonas. Methods 32 strains of carbapenem-resistant aeromonas isolated from Jiaxing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected for the experiment.Observe the antibacterial effect of kaempferol combined with meropenem in vitro. This experiment used a micro broth dilution method to detect the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of carbapenem-resistant Aeromonas strains against kaempferol, meropenem, and kaempferol combined with meropenem, and calculated the fractional inhibitory concentration index(FICI);Simultaneously testing the effect on the growth curve of carbapenem-resistant Aeromonas strains to determine whether kaempferol and meropenem have combined antibacterial effects. Results The MIC of the combination group of kaempferol and meropenem was lower than that of the single drug group, and it could significantly inhibit the growth of carbapenem-resistant Aeromonas. Conclusion Kaempferol combined with meropenem has a combined effect in vitro experiments, which is expected to improve clinical treatment efficacy and further construct this combined drug model for the treatment of other multidrug-resistant infections. However, the specific mechanism needs further research.
