Objective To evaluate the relevant evidence of venous thromboembolism(VTE)prevention in neurosurgery patients,and to provide the theory and basis for VTE prophylaxis.Methods We retrieved the National Guidelines Library(NGC),Scottish Interhospital Guidelines Network(SIGN),UK Guidelines Library,Canadian Medical Association Clinical Practice Guidelines Library(CMA),International Guidelines Collaboration Network(GIN),National Institute of Health and Clinical Optimization(NICE),Ontario Registered Nurses Association(RNAO),Cochrane Library,PubMed,CINAHL,Embase,Dingxiangyuan,Yimaitong,CNKI,Wanfang Database,guidelines Expert consensus,evidence summary,best practices,and system evaluation.The retrieval time for all databases was from the establishment of the database to July 2022.Corresponding quality evaluation tools was used to evaluate the included literature and extract evidence.Results 21 articles were included,including 9 clinical guidelines,8 expert consensus papers,and 4 evidence summaries.The evidence was summarized from 14 aspects,including VTE evaluation,B-ultrasound examination,mechanical prevention,drug prevention,basic prevention,intraoperative prevention,cerebral hemorrhage patients,spinal cord injury,brain tumor,and 70 best evidences were formed.Conclusion Medical staff need to improve their awareness of VTE prevention for neurosurgery patients.The prevention and management standards have been established to reduce the incidence of VTE in neurosurgical patients.
