Objective To study the value of out-of-hospital home nursing for patients with prostatitis. Methods A total of 96 patients with chronic prostatitis from May 2018 to May 2022 were selected as the study objects, and the 96 patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. All patients received conventional treatment, including antibiotics,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs,alpha-blockers,etc.The observation group received nursing management based on the concept of binary coping, and the control group received routine nursing management. The score of Quality-of-Life Scale(SF-36),prostatitis Symptoms Index(NIH-CPSI),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)were compared between the two groups before and after care. Results After nursing, all SF-36 scores of the two groups were improved, and the emotional function, social function and mental health scores of the observation group were higher(P<0.05).After nursing, pain discomfort, abnormal urination, quality of life and total score of both groups were decreased, and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05).After nursing,HAMA and HAMD scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The nursing intervention plan based on the concept of binary coping can help to correct the negative emotions of anxiety and depression and improve the quality of life of patients with chronic prostatitis.
