Objective To compare the efficacy of laparoscopic and transvaginal"folding suture method"as a surgical procedure for the treatment of cesarean scar diverticulum(CSD).Methods Sixty patients with CSD after cesarean section admitted to Wenzhou People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as study subjects.According to the random number table method, patients were divided into the laparoscopic group(LAP group)and the transvaginal group(TV group),with 30 cases in each group.Patients in LAP group were treated by hysteroscopy and laparoscopic folding suture method, while TV group were treated by hysteroscopy and transvaginal folding suture method. The operation and clinical effects of the two groups were observed. Results There was no significant difference in intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time between the two groups(P>0.05).The operation duration of the LAP group were longer than those of the TV group(P=0.020),the hospitalization expenses of the LAP group were more than those of the TV group(P<0.001).The cure rate and effective rate of improvement in prolonged menstruation at 3 months after operation between the LAP and TV group were of no significant difference(P>0.05).The cure rate and effective rate of diverticulum repair at 3 months after operation between the LAP and TV group were of no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The outcomes of laparoscopic and transvaginal"folding suture method"for the treatment of CSD are comparable. The transvaginal procedure is less costly and truly minimally invasive, making it worthy of clinical promotion.
