Objective To understand the nutritional status of elderly diabetic foot ulcers and analyze the risk factors of malnutrition. Methods 208 elderly patients with diabetes foot who were treated in the Department of Endocrinology of Hangzhou Geriatric Hospital from June 2021 to October 2022 were selected. The questionnaire was conducted using the general situation questionnaire,MNA-SF nutrition screening scale,Barthel finger number scale, and univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression model were used to screen risk factors of malnutrition in patients. Results The incidence of malnutrition in 208 elderly patients with diabetes foot ulcer was 61.54%.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that older age(OR=2.792),Wagner grade 3-5(OR=5.086),foot ulcer infection(OR=1.932),glycosylated hemoglobin(%)>7(OR=1.509),multiple drugs(OR=3.205),and sleep disorder(OR=1.418)were the influencing factors of malnutrition in elderly patients with diabetes foot ulcer(P<0.05).Albumin 35 g/L(OR=0.218)and Barthel index>60(OR=0.375)were protective factors for malnutrition in elderly patients with diabetic foot ulcers(P<0.05).Conclusion The risk of malnutrition in elderly patients with foot ulcer of diabetes is higher, which is related to age,Wagner grade, serum albumin level, glycosylated hemoglobin, multiple drugs, daily activity level, sleep quality and other factors.
