Objective To evaluate the effect of red and blue light-supplemented in the treatment of chronic wound. Methods PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,The Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang,VIP,and CBM were searched for literature on combined red and blue light-assisted in the treatment of chronic wound. The search was limited to the period from January 1 to July 31,2012.Literature screening, data extraction, and quality assessment were performed independently by 2 researchers and statistically analyzed using RevMan 5.4 software. Results A total of 10 publications with a total sample size of 710 cases were included, and the Meta-analysis showed that the wound healing rate was higher in the intervention group than in the control group[OR=2.03,95%CI(1.33,3.11),P=0.001],the granulation tissue grading was higher than in the control group[MD=0.95,95%CI(0.18,1.73),P=0.02],and the wound healing time was lower than that of the control group[MD=-7.16,95%CI(-8.56,-5.74),P=0.85].Conclusion The combined use of red and blue light in the treatment of chronic wounds can effectively increase the rate of wound healing, granulation tissue grading and wound reduction, shortening the wound healing time, reducing the number of dressing changes, and has no effect on the skin near the wound.
