Objective To investigate the effect of a detailed management scheme guided by health coaching technique on metabolic indicators of post-discharge patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods From November 2021 to March 2022,200 diabetic patients admitted were randomly divided into the control and intervention groups,with 100 patients in each group.The control group was adopted with routine continuation diabetes management,and the intervention group was adopted with detailed management guided by health coach techniques.Before and after the 3 months follow-up,metabolic indicators,self-management and quality of life were observed and compared between the two groups.Results The intervention group had significant positive effectiveness in fasting glucose,2 h postprandial blood glucose,glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(P<0.05).The intervention group was observed higher self-management scores,including diet,activities,blood sugar monitoring,foot care,and drug treatment evaluation(P<0.05).Moreover,the intervention group reported positive effects on quality of life compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The detailed management scheme guided by health coaching technique could significantly improve the post-discharge management outcomes of type 2 diabetic patients.
