Objective Through the statistical screening and analysis of the relevant literature on"acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of simple obesity"in China National Knowledge Network in the past 10 years,to explore the development and research trends of this field in recent years.Methods Based on the China Journal Full-Text Database(CNKI),the relevant literatures on acupuncture in the treatment of simple obesity from 2014 to 2023 were searched.Using CiteSpace 6.1 software,the author,institution,keywords and other visual maps were drawn and analyzed.The authors,institutions and high-frequency keywords were mapped and visually analyzed.Results A total of 221 articles were included in this study,including 10 major research institutions and 17 core authors.The research institutions were mainly Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine,School of Acupuncture and Bone Injury,Hubei University of Chinese Medicine,Hubei University of Chinese Medicine,etc.The visualization analysis of high-yield authors mainly formed 5 large research teams represented by Zhou Zhongyu,Jin Yiting,Tang Hongzhen,Chen Xia,Xu Bin,etc.Keywords formed a total of 10 clusters,of which"acupuncture","acupuncture","acupoint embedding","electric acupuncture","warm acupuncture","abdominal acupuncture"and other high-frequency keywords,research hotspots were mainly concentrated in the treatment means,body mass index of these two aspects,in recent years,the emerging keywords were"ear acupuncture","embedding"and so on.Conclusion Simple obesity,as a dominant disease in the treatment of acupuncture and moxibustion,has a prominent therapeutic effect.The research hotspots of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of simple obesity mainly focus on two aspects:the exploration of characteristic acupuncture and the study of clinical efficacy and mechanism.
