Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of different arthroscopic surgery for popliteal cyst. Methods 56 cases of popliteal fossa cyst from January 2020 to April 2022 were randomly divided into the observation group(n=28)and the control group(n=28).The patients in the control group were treated with internal drainage of popliteal fossa cyst under arthroscope, and the patients in the observation group were treated with internal drainage of popliteal fossa cyst combined with cyst wall resection, visual analogue scale(Vas),quality of life scale(Qol-74),knee joint rating scale(Lysholm)and recurrence were also evaluated. Results There was no significant difference in the length of incision and the amount of bleeding between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the observation group had shorter ambulation, shorter hospital stay and longer operation time(P>0.05).Compared with the control group, the improvement of Rauschning-lindgren grade was better in the observation group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the Lysholm score was higher in the observation group(P<0.05),and the scores of all QOL dimensions were higher in the two groups, the total recurrence rate was 3.57%in the observation group and 21.43%in the control group(χ2=4.082,P=0.043).Conclusion Arthroscopic internal drainage of popliteal fossa cyst combined with cystectomy is effective in the treatment of popliteal fossa cyst, which can effectively improve pain, knee function and quality of life, and reduce the recurrence rate of the disease, worthy of clinical promotion and application.
