Objective To observe the effect of hand and knee position combined with lidocaine cervical application on eliminating cervical oedema. Methods 100 patients with cervical oedema at the time of delivery from April 2022 to August 2023 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with lidocaine cervical smear, and the observation group was treated with lidocaine cervical smear combined with hand-and-knee position. The rate of cervical oedema subsidence, the duration of the first stage of labor, the rate of spontaneous delivery, and post-partum hemorrhage in the two groups were compared. Results The duration of the first stage of labor and post-partum hemorrhage in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the rates of cervical oedema subsidence and natural delivery in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Lidocaine cervical smear combined with hand and knee position can effectively eliminate cervical oedema, shorten the duration of labor and increase the rate of natural delivery.
