Objective To study the relationship between the ratio of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LHR),serum amylase like protein A(SAA)and the stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods 177 patients with ACS were collected from Hangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2022 to January 2023,and were divided into the unstable plaque group, the stable plaque group, and the non-plaque group based on carotid ultrasound results. The general clinical data and serum LHR and SAA levels of three groups were compared. The correlation between the nature of carotid artery plaques and two serum factors in ACS patients was evaluated. Results Comparison of serum SAA and LHR among three groups of patients showed that:unstable plaque group>stable plaque group>non-plaque group(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between serum LHR,SAA,and IMT.The ROC curve analysis showed that serum LHR and SAA had diagnostic significance for unstable plaques in ACS patients(P<0.05).Moreover,the combined diagnostic value of the two was superior to that of a single item, with an AUC value of 0.753.Conclusion Serum SAA and LHR in ACS patients are related to the formation and stability of carotid atherosclerotic plaque, which provides a new diagnostic index for early identification of unstable plaque.
