Objective To explore the frailty status of patients with acute cerebral infarction and assess the diagnostic value of their serum marker levels for frailty. Methods 1146 patients with acute cerebral infarction who visited our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected. The Edmonton scale was used to assess 70 patients in the frailty group and 76 patients in the non frailty group. The differences in serological indicators between the two groups of patients were analyzed. At the same time, the Clinical Frailty Scale(CFS)was used to divide frailty patients into mild, moderate, and severe frailty groups, and the differences in serum marker levels among the three groups of patients were compared. Results The levels of hemoglobin,triglycerides,low-density lipoprotein, and albumin in the weakened group were lower than those in the non weakened group(P<0.05),while the levels of C-reactive protein(CRP),D-dimer,and homocysteine were higher(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis found that hemoglobin and homocysteine indicators are independent risk factors for patient frailty, with receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve areas of 0.707 and 0.751,respectively.The hemoglobin level in patients with severe frailty was lower than that in patients with mild to moderate frailty, while the levels of CRP and homocysteine were increased(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of serum markers hemoglobin and homocysteine have certain value in the diagnosis of acute cerebral infarction frailty in patients.
