Objective To explore the impact of Baduanjin training on the health, physical fitness, and quality of life of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)patients undergoing radiotherapy. Methods Collect 100 NSCLC patients who received radiotherapy in our hospital from January 2022 to October 2022,and divide them into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received routine intervention after radiotherapy, while the observation group received Baduanjin training on the basis of the control group.Evaluate the health fitness indicators and quality of life of two groups of patients before and 12 weeks after intervention,as well as the incidence of radiation related complications during the intervention period. Results After 12 weeks of intervention, except for body mass index(BMI),both groups of patients showed improvement in the number of forearm curls at 30 seconds, the number of seat ups and stands at 30 seconds, the 6-minute walking distance, the forward bending distance of the sitting body, and the time of standing on one foot with closed eyes compared to before intervention, with statistical significance(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention, the scores of physical, role, cognitive, emotional, social, overall health, fatigue, pain, dyspnea, insomnia, constipation, etc.in both groups improved compared to before intervention(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of radiation pneumonitis, esophagitis, and dermatitis between the two groups, while the incidence of gastrointestinal reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the 1-year survival rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Baduanjin training can improve upper and lower limb muscle strength, cardiorespiratory fitness, flexibility, and balance ability in NSCLC radiotherapy patients, thereby improving their quality of life.
