Objective To investigate the ultrasonographic features of struma-ovarii(SO).Methods The ultrasonographic and clinical data of 18 patients with SO confirmed by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Results The sonographic findings of SO were as follows:multilocular cystic lesions were found in 4 cases,with uneven septum thickness and uneven echo in each chamber;there was one case of solid cyst,cystic component was the main component.The wall of the cyst was found with"papillary"medium echo process with low resistance blood flow signal;there were 12 cases of multilocular cystic solid with different proportion of solid components,showing"papillary","septal thickening"and"dough like"moderate echo shadow with blood flow signal.Some cystic cavities showed no"white ball"and"flocculent"hyperechoic masses and"crystal like"hyperechoic spots;solid 1 case,hyperechoic with blood flow,internal see"eggshell"strong echo with sound shadow.Among them,6 cases showed contrast agent perfusion in cystic wall,septum and solid components,which was high enhancement and showed"fast in and fast out"performance.Conclusion SO is more common in multilocular cystic and multilocular cystic solid.The possibility of goiter should be considered if there are"papillary","thickened septate"and"dough like"solid components with blood flow distribution in the tumor,white ball like or"flocculent"hyperechoic mass and"crystal like"hyperechoic spots without blood flow signal in the cystic cavity,and punctate,eggshell or arc-shaped calcification foci in solid components,septum or cystic wall should be considered.
