Objective To explore the efficacy of the double Endobutton technique in the treatment of Tossy type Ⅲ acromioclavicular joint dislocation(AJD)and its impact on joint function and quality of life. Methods Sixty five patients with Tossy type Ⅲ AJD treated at our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023,were selected and divided into two groups based on the treatment method:the clavicle hook plate(CHP)group with 34 cases and the double Endobutton group with 31 cases.Clinical indicators, joint function, quality of life, and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Result Compared with the CHP group, the double Endobutton group had a longer surgery time(P<0.05),but shorter incision length, hospital stay, and return-to-work time(P<0.05).Compared with before surgery, both groups showed improved Constant-Murley shoulder joint function scores and total scores at six months postoperatively(P<0.05),with more significant improvements in the double Endobutton group(P<0.05).Similarly,compared with before surgery, both groups had improved Western Ontario Shoulder Instability Index(WOSI)scores and total scores at six months postoperatively(P<0.05),with more significant improvements in the double Endobutton group(P<0.05).The clinical efficacy good and excellent rate of the double Endobutton group was 96.77%,higher than the CHP group's 79.41%(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of dual Endobutton technology in Tossy type Ⅲ AJD patients can improve clinical efficacy, enhance patient joint function, increase quality of life, and promote faster recovery.
