Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Si Jing detoxification scraping combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)external application in treating acne of damp-heat stagnation type in adolescents.Methods A total of 68 patients with damp-heat stagnation type of acne were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group.The control group was treated with oral isotretinoin and topical fusidic acid cream;the observation group,in addition to the treatment of the control group,received Si Jing detoxification scraping combined with TCM external application.The changes in acne lesion score(GAGS),overall clinical efficacy,and recurrence rate within 3 months after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment,the GAGS scores in both groups were reduced.The observation group had a GAGS score of(15.79±1.32)points,which was lower than that of the control group(17.18±2.02)points,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the total effective rate of the observation group was 94.12%,higher than that of the control group at 67.65%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);follow-up at 3 months after treatment showed that the recurrence rate of the observation group was 3.13%,lower than that of the control group at 21.74%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Conclusion Si Jing detoxification scraping combined with TCM external application is significantly effective in treating acne of damp-heat stagnation type in adolescents,safe,convenient to operate,and worth promoting in clinical practice.
