The relevant literature at home and abroad in recent years were retrieved in terms of regulatory mechanisms of epigenetic modification on essential hypertension and the current situation and prospect of acupuncture intervention for essential hypertension through epigenetic modification.It is explored that epigenetics regulates the occurrence and development of essential hypertension through DNA methylation,histone,non-coding RNA,and m6A modification.At present,acupuncture for hypotension is widely used in clinic,but the research on acupuncture for hypertension based on epigenetic mechanism is less and still in the initial stage.This study explored the mechanisms of acupuncture for hypertension from the perspective of epigenetics in order to provide more molecular biological bases and to provide a new direction and perspective for targeted treatment of essential hypertension.
