By reviewing the characteristics and commonness of commonly used acupoints in acupuncture treatment for irritable bowel syndrome(IBS),this study tried to summarize the rules of acupoints compatibility.Based on the principle of indication of acupoints,it should select disease-related specific acupoints,combining with the same or similar common effect acupoints,and give full play to the purpose of'multiple acupoints working together and synergize'under the effect of acupuncture two-way regulation function.This study provided basis for clinical formulation of acupoints compatibility of IBS.
