Asthma is a kind of airway inflammatory disease,which is commonly treated by acupuncture and moxibustion in clinic.Acupuncture and moxibustion can control the occurrence and attack of asthma,reduce the degree of attack,decrease the dosage of hormones,alleviate the adverse reactions of hormones,and improve the quality of life of patients.However,the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion remains unclear in the treatment of asthma.Based on proteomics,this study explored the role of acupuncture and moxibustion in terms of pathogenesis of asthma,airway inflammation,airway hyper-responsiveness and airway remodeling,thus to provide scientific and valuable research ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of asthma and the mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion in treating this disease.
