Theory of Correlation between Meridians and Zang-Fu Organs
Through the systematic review and logic study of the correlation between meridians and Zang-Fu organs in recent years,it is found that the pathological changes of the internal organs will be perceived from acupoints on the correspondent meridians,manifested by the abnormal manifestations of nodular bands,electrical resistance,energy values of meridians,temperature,and blood flow changes in the location of specific points.Based on the theory of'knowing the root,observing the manifestation,one can understand the harm to the five organs','where the acupoints are located,there lies the treatment principle',and'where the meridians pass through,there lies the treatment effect',this study explored the reflection of visceral functions in the corresponding meridian systems,as well as the modulation of visceral functions by needling acupoints of fourteen meridians.Furthermore,focusing on Lung,Stomach,and Intestine,it discussed the therapeutic specificity of the meridian-visceral relationship,aiming to provide insights for guiding clinical applications.In recent years,exploration of the relationship between meridians and visceral organs has progressed from meridian examination methods to monitoring abnormal sensory changes in patients,and further to characterization-based physical detection techniques.The research methods have gradually improved,leading to more objective conclusions.However,studies still primarily focus on organs such as Lungs,Stomach,and Large Intestine,which poses certain limitations.Future researches should emphasize guiding clinical diagnosis and treatment,expanding the scope of investigation,enhancing the universality of visceral organs studied,and conducting further researches to find more systematic and comprehensive evidence.
