Clinical Study of Dong's Acupuncture in Treatment of Postpartum Urinary Incontinence and Its Influence to Pelvic Floor Muscle Function
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Dong's acupuncture in treatment of postpartum urinary incontinence and its influence to pelvic floor muscle function.Methods:90 patients with postpartum urinary incontinence were randomly divided into the Dong's acupuncture group, the body acupuncture group and the control group. All patients received pelvic floor electrical stimulation combined with Kegel exercise treatment as a pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation therapy. The control group was given conventional treatment, the body acupuncture group was treated with body acupuncture and the Dong's acupuncture group was treated with Dong's acupuncture.Pelvic floor muscle strength of class Ⅰ and class Ⅱ muscle fibers,as well as ICI-Q-SF score were evaluated before and after the treatment in the three groups.Clinical efficacy were compared among the three groups. Results:The recoveries of class Ⅰ and class Ⅱ muscle fiber strength were better in the Dong's acupuncture group and the body acupuncture group than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the recoveries of class Ⅰ and class Ⅱ muscle fiber strength were better in the Dong's acupuncture group than those in the body acupuncture group(P<0.05).The ICI-Q-SF score was lower in the Dong's acupuncture group and the body acupuncture group than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the ICI-Q-SF score was lower in the Dong's acupuncture group than that in the body acupuncture group(P<0.05).The total effective rate was higher in the Dong's acupuncture group and the body acupuncture group than that in the control group(P<0.05),but there was no statistical difference in the total effective rate between the Dong's acupuncture group and the body acupuncture group(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both body acupuncture and Dong's acupuncture can improve clinical efficacy, improve function of pelvic floor muscle and symptoms of urinary incontinence, and improve life quality of patients compared with pelvic floor electrical stimulation combined with Kegel exercise treatment in treatment of postpartum patients with urinary incontinence;for which Dong's acupuncture has a better therapeutic effect than body acupuncture.
