Clinical Study of Elongated Needle'Penetration Needling along Meridian'Combined with Speech Rehabilitation Training in Treatment of Post-Stroke Motor Aphasia
Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of elongated needle'penetration needling along meridian'combined with speech rehabilitation training in treatment of post-stroke motor aphasia.Methods:A total of 64 patients with post-stroke motor aphasia were randomly assigned into the observation group and the control group,with 32 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with penetration needling with elongated needle and speech rehabilitation training,whereas the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture and speech rehabilitation training.Both groups were treated for six days per week over a period of three weeks.Verbal function was assessed using Chinese Aphasia Test(ABC),verbal communication ability was evaluated using Chinese Functional Communicative Profile(CFCP),motor aphasia severity was measured by means of Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Test(BDAE),and cognitive ability was assessed utilizing Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA).Results:Following three weeks of treatment,significant improvements were observed in terms of language function scores(listening comprehension,speaking,retelling,and naming)in the observation group(P<0.05).Furthermore,language communication ability scores,aphasia severity levels,and cognitive function showed significant enhancements in the observation group when compared to baseline values(P<0.05).Additionally,improvements in language function score,cognitive function score,verbal communication ability score,as well as aphasia severity were more significant in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall effective rate in the observation group was 93.75%(30/32),which was significantly higher than 75%(24/32)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Speech rehabilitation training combined with elongated needle'penetration needling along meridian'can promote recovery of speech function,reduce level of aphasia,improve cognitive ability with remarkable effect.
