Recent Advances in Clinical Characteristics and Mechanistic Studies of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Treatment for DOR over the Past Five Years
Diminished ovarian reserve(DOR)is a significant cause of infertility.Currently,there is a lack of consensus in modern medicine regarding the treatment of DOR.Acupuncture therapy shows great potential in treating DOR.This study summarized the recent clinical and experimental research on acupuncture treatment of DOR from domestic and international perspectives over the past five years.It includes the acupuncture point selection principle,characteristics of moxibustion application,and the effects of acupuncture on reproductive endocrine function,ovarian morphology,immune system,granulosa cell apoptosis,related signaling pathways,as well as the impact on pregnancy and live birth rates in patients with DOR.The aim is to promote the expanded application of acupuncture and moxibustion in treatment of DOR.
