Objective:To explore the clinical effect of heat-producing needling combined with Fuzi cake-separated needle-warming moxibustion in treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)of Kidney-Yang deficiency type.Methods:60 patients with BPH conforming to Kidney-Yang deficiency type were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,with 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with heat-producing needling combined with Fuzi cake-separated needle-warming moxibustion,once daily,with 5 treatment making up one course of treatment;there was a two-day break between courses,with a total of 4 courses of treatment.The control group was orally administered Tamsulosin Ssustained-release Capsule,at a conventional dosage,once a day for a continuous month.The efficacy was observed after one month of treatment.The Ⅰ-PSS score,TCM symptoms score and bladder residual urine volume were observed after the treatment and at the time of 4 weeks after the treatment.Results:The Ⅰ-PSS score,TCM symptoms score and bladder residual urine volume were decreased after the treatment and at the time of 4 weeks after the treatment compared with those before the treatment in the two groups(P＜0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.3％(28/30),which was higher than 73.3％(22/30)of the control group(P＜0.05).The remarkable effective rate of the treatment group was 53.3％(16/30),which was significantly higher than 23.3％(7/30)of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Heat-producing needling combined with Fuzi cake-separated needle-warming moxibustion can effectively improve the symptoms of BPH of Kidney-Yang deficiency type,it can significantly reduce the residual urine volume of bladder,and the effect is better than that of the Western medication.
