Clinical Study of Moxa Tube Needling in Treatment of Carotid Atherosclerotic Chronic Cerebral Ischemia
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of moxa tube needling in treatment of carotid atherosclerotic chronic cerebral ischemia by comparing the efficacy of moxa tube needling combined with conventional Western medication and Western medication alone.Methods:60 patients with carotid atherosclerotic chronic cerebral ischemia, who met the inclusion criteria, were randomly divided into the control group and the study group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Atorvastatin Calcium Tablet and Aspirin Enteric-Coated Tablet;on which basis, the study group was also treated with moxa tube needling. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared and analyzed. The changes in haemodynamics,TCM symptoms score,IMT,plaque area and blood lipid were observed before and after the treatment in the two groups. Results:Haemodynamics indexes,TCM symptoms score,IMT,plaque area and blood lipid were improved to varying degrees after the treatment in the two groups, and the improvements were more significant in the study group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of cerebrovascular accidents was lower in the study group than that in the control group during the follow-up 3 months after the treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Moxa tube needling combined with Western medication is better than Western medication alone in treatment of carotid atherosclerotic chronic cerebral ischemia.
