Clinical Study of Limin Spinal Manipulation Combined with Heat-Sensitive Moxibustion in Treatment of LDH
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Limin spinal manipulation combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion in treatment of lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:76 LDH patients,who met the inclusion criteria,were randomly divided into the study group(n=38,4 cases dropping off)and the control group(n=38,2 cases dropping off).Patients in both groups were given the same basic treatment,the study group was treated with Limin spinal manipulation combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion,and the control group was treated with traditional massage combined with moxibustion.Patients in both groups were treated once a day,with 2 days rest on weekends for 2 consecutive weeks.Clinical efficacy(overall significant efficiency)was evaluated 2 weeks after the treatment in both groups,and the scores of VAS,M-JOA and ODI were evaluated before the treatment,after 2 weeks of the treatment,and at the 3-month follow-up.Results:The total effective rate was 82.3％(28/34)in the study group,which was significantly higher than 58.3％(21/36)in the control group(P＜0.05).The scores of VAS and ODI were lower(P＜0.05),and the score of M-JOA was higher after the treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P＜0.05);the scores of VAS and ODI were lower(P＜0.05),and the score of M-JOA was higher in the study group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).At the 3-month follow-up,the scores of VAS and ODI were decreased(P＜0.05),and the score of M-JOA was increased compared with those 2 weeks after the treatment(P＜0.05);the scores of VAS and ODI were lower(P＜0.05),and the score of M-JOA was higher in the study group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Limin spinal manipulation combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion can be more effective than traditional massage combined with moxibustion in treatment of LDH,Limin spinal manipulation combined with heat-sensitive moxibustion can more significantly reduce the pain symptoms of LDH patients,improve their clinical symptoms,signs and daily life quality,and has good long-term efficacy.
