Analysis of Efficacy and Changes in Urodynamic Parameters of PSUI after Interventions of EA Combined with Low Frequency Electro-Therapy
Objective:To analyze the clinical efficacy and changes in urodynamic parameters of post-stroke urinary incontinence(PSUI)after the intervention of electro-acupuncture(EA)combined with low frequency electro-therapy.Methods:A total of 102 patients with PSUI were divided into the conventional group(n=51)and the study group(n=51).The conventional group was given intermittent urinary catheterization and pelvic floor muscle function training;on which basis, the study group was also treated with EA combined with low frequency electro-therapy.Clinical efficacy, incontinence degree, urodynamic parameters,24h frequency of urination, times of incontinence,NIHSS score and ADL score were compared between the two groups after the treatment. Results:The total effective rate was 96.08%(49/51)in the study group, which was higher than 74.51%(38/51)in the conventional group(P<0.05).Urinary incontinence was less severe in the study group than that in the conventional group after the treatment(P<0.05).The maximum closed urethral pressure(MCP),leaky point pressure(PVLP),maximum cystometric capacity(MCC)and desired normal cystometric capacity(NDCC)were higher in the study group than those in the conventional group after the treatment(P<0.05).The frequency of urination and incontinence 24h after treatment in the study group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).The NIHSS score of the study group was lower than that of the conventional group after the treatment(P<0.05),and the ADL score of the study group was higher than that of the conventional group after the treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:Electro-acupuncture combined with low frequency electro-therapy can effectively improve the symptoms of frequency and urgency of urination in the PSUI patients,it can reduce the degree of urinary incontinence and nerve function impairment, and improve the life ability of the patients, with a significant efficacy.
