Clinical Study on Ascending and Descending Acupuncture Combined with Bo's Abdominal Needling in Treatment of Chronic Pelvic Pain of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis
Objective:To investigate the effect of ascending and descending acupuncture combined with Bo's abdominal needling in treatment of chronic pelvic pain(CPP).Methods:73 CPP patients were randomly divided into the control group(n=35)and the observation group(n=38).The control group was treated with Bo's abdominal needling,once a day,5 days a week for 4 weeks;on which basis,the observation group was also treated with ascending and descending acupuncture,once a day,5 days a week for 4 weeks.The scores of NIH-CPSI scale,Mc Cormack scale,VAS and TCM symptomsm,as well as the serum levels of IL-6,TNF-α CRP were obserned between before and afcer the treatment in the two groups.Results:NIH-CPSI score,symptoms score,VAS score,McCormack score and serum inflammatory factor levels were significantly decreased in both groups after the treatment(P<0.05);which were significantly lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ascending and descending acupuncture combined with Bo's abdominal needling has a good effect in treatment of CPP,which can alleviate inflammation,improve clinical symptoms and contribute to the prognosis of the patients.
