Clinical Study on Acupuncture for Tonifying Kidney-Qi Combined with Needle-Warming Moxibustion in Treatment of Female Stress Urinary Incontinence with Yang Deficiency of Spleen and Kidney
Objective:To investigate the effect of acupuncture for tonifying Kidney-Qi combined with needle-warming moxibustion in treatment of female stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods:60 female patients with SUI were randomly divided into the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30).The control group was treated with needle-warming moxibustion;on which basis, the observation group was also treated with acupuncture for tonifying Kidney-Qi.Clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,ICIQ-SF score,1 h urine pad volume,I-QOL score and coagulation function index were compared between the two groups after the treatment.Results:ICIQ-SF score,1h urine pad volume and I-QOL score were significantly improved after 3 weeks and 6 weeks of treatment compared with those before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the improvements were more significant in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The curative effect of the observation group was obviously higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The TCM main symptoms score, the secondary symptoms score and the total score were significantly decreased after 6 weeks of treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the decreases were more significant in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of APTT,PT and Fbg were significantly improved after 6 weeks of treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the improvements were more significant in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture for tonifying Kidney-Qi combined with needle-warming moxibustion has a good therapeutic effect in treatment of SUI.
