Visualization Analysis of EA in Treating CIRI Based on CiteSpace
Objective:To analyze the literature about electro-acupuncture(EA)in treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury(CIRI)in the past 30 years by using CiteSpace software, thus to identify the research hotspots and trends in this field. Methods:Relevant literature were retrieved from CNKI and WOS,spanning from January 1,1994 to October 18,2023.The bibliometric analysis was performed in terms of publication volume, journals, countries, institutions, authors, citations and keywords by using the CiteSpace and Excel software. Results:A total of 725 Chinese literature and 328 English literature were included in the analysis, with an overall increasing trend in average annual publication. The journals with the highest number of publications in Chinese and English were Acupuncture Research and Neural Regeneration Research, respectively.China was the country with the highest number of publications, and Hubei University of Chinese Medicine and Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were the institutions with the highest number of publications in both languages. The team with the highest number of publications was led by CHEN Lidian and TAO Jing.Co-occurrence analysis of keywords indicated that the researches of EA treatment for CIRI primarily focused on animal experiments, including molecular mechanisms and cell death mechanisms researches, with apoptosis, inflammatory response, autophagy and oxidative stress being key areas.Keyword highlighted analysis showed that in recent years, the research hotspot has shifted to combination therapy and pyroptosis. Conclusion:Currently, there is a lack of large-scale,multi-center research networks as well as standardized treatment protocols and operational guidelines, but focus on basic research. Therefore, future search needs to enhance domestic and international collaboration, improve treatment protocols and operating standards, expand research areas, and promote clinical translational applications.
