Exploring Effect Mechanism of Needling PC6 for Treatment of CCS Based on Acupoint Sensitization Theory
Chronic coronary syndrome(CCS)is one of the main types of coronary artery disease(CAD),with symptoms of chest tightness, chest pain, and dyspnea as the main symptoms, reflecting the dynamic process of atherosclerotic plaque buildup and coronary artery circulatory function alteration, and the involvement of multiple systems over a long period of time, which seriously affects the health of the human body. The World Health Organization has listed coronary heart disease as one of the diseases recommended for acupuncture treatment. In recent years, with the deepening of research, many scholars have discovered that myocardial ischemia leads to significant sensitization phenomena at related acupoints, such as Neiguan(PC6).Needling sensitized acupoints like PC6 can better regulate the nervous system, influence related signaling substances and ion channels, and enhance the heart's self-repair functions.Therefore,PC6 is considered as a representative acupoint for the phenomenon of acupoint sensitization in the clinical treatment of CCS.This study summarizes the effect mechanisms of acupuncture in the treatment of CCS and further explores the correlation between acupoint sensitization theory and its mechanisms, providing a theoretical basis for future researches.
