Common Techniques for Studying Neural Circuits and Their Application in Acupuncture Research
Neural circuits play a crucial role in the transmission and processing of information in the brain.Abnormalities in the brain neural circuit are the core basis of the clinical phenotypes of neurological diseases, making the exploration of neural circuit significant for the prevention and treatment of these conditions.Achieving efficient observation of neural circuits, with high temporal, spatial and cell type resolution, has been a key objective in neuroscience research. This study aims to explore the current applications of widely used techniques such as neural tracing, optogenetics, chemogenetics, calcium imaging-fiber photometry and electrophysiology.Additional,it reviews the application progress of these technologies in the field of acupuncture, particularly in the treatment of conditions like dysphagia, digestion and pain. The goal is to provide new insights and references for neural circuit-related research.
