Influence of Needle-Warming Moxibustion on Nape Four Acupoints Combined with Zheng's Manipulation to Cervical Spine Function and Pain Degree in Treatment of Cervical Headache
Objective:To explore the effect of needle-warming moxibustion on nape four points combined with Zheng's manipulation on cervical spine function and pain degree in treatment of cervical headache.Methods:90 patients with cervical headache were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional manipulation, whereas the study group was treated with needle-warming moxibustion on nape four points combined with Zheng's manipulation.Curative effect was compared between the two groups.Severity and frequency of headache, neck range of motion(ROM)and hemorheology indexes(HCT,FIB)were compared between before and after the treatment in the two groups.Adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of the study group was 95.56%(43/45),which was higher than 82.22%(37/45)of the control group(P<0.05).The duration and weekly onset frequency of headache, and the scores of VAS,NDI,ROM,HCT and FIB were all significantly reduced after the treatment compared with those before the treatment in both groups, and the above indicators in study group were lower than those in control group after the treatment(P<0.05).There was no significant incidence of adverse reactions in the two group.Conclusion:Needle-warming moxibustion on nape four points combined with Zheng's manipulation can effectively relieve pain symptoms, improve neck function, regulate neck blood flow in treatment of cervical headache, which has a good safety.
