Clinical Study of Multi-Point Injection Combined with Tension Position Acupotomy Release in Treatment of Scapulohumeral Periarthritis
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of multi-point injection combined with tension position acupotomy release in treatment of adhesive scapulohumeral periarthritis.Methods:70 patients, who met the inclusion criteria for scapulohumeral periarthritis, were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 35 patients in each group. The observation group was treated with multi-point injection combined with tension position acupotomy release therapy;whereas the control group was treated with routine injection combined with acupotomy therapy. The scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)and Constant-murley shoulder joint function, shoulder joint range of motion(ROM)were evaluated before the treatment,1 month,3 months and 6 months after the treatment in the two groups.Clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results:At the 6-month follow-up,the clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group 3 months after the treatment(P<0.05);there was no statistical difference in VAS score between the two groups 6 months after the treatment(P>0.05).The Constant-murley shoulder function score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group at each time point after the treatment(P<0.05).The ROM of shoulder was significantly improved after the treatment than that before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05);the flexion, abduction and external rotation of shoulder joint was better in the observation group than that in the control group 3 months after the treatment(P<0.05);there was no statistical difference in flexion, abduction and external rotation between the two groups 6 months after the treatment(P>0.05);however,the internal rotation activity of the shoulder joint in the observation group was still better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Multi-point injection combined with tension point acupotomy has a significant short-term and long-term effect in treatment of scapulohumeral periarthritis. It can effectively relieve pain, improve shoulder joint function and ROM in patients. The therapy is safe and feasible, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
