Clinical Study of Painless Bee Needle Therapy Combined with Conventional Western Medication in Treatment of KOA with Cold-Dampness Obstruction Pattern Based on Infrared Thermal Imaging Evaluation
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of infrared thermal imaging in evaluating the combination of painless bee needle therapy and conventional Western medication in treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)of cold-dampness obstruction pattern.Methods:70 patients with KOA of cold-dampness obstruction pattern were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 35 patients in each group. The control group was treated with a combination of conventional Western medication and conventional acupuncture, whereas the observation group was treated with a combination of conventional Western medication and painless bee needle therapy.Therapeutic effect, pain levels before and after the treatment, knee joint function, serum levels of inflammatory factors, infrared thermal imaging evaluation results, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The effective rate was 97.14%(34/35)in the observation group, which was higher than 74.29%(26/35)in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of VAS and WOMAC were lower after 6 weeks of treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the scores were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 were lower after 6 weeks of treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),which were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).The anterior temperatures of the left and right knee joints were higher after 6 weeks of treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups(P<0.05),and the temperatures were higher in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of painless bee needle therapy and Western medication has a good clinical effect on KOA of cold-dampness obstruction pattern. It can reduce the degree of pain in patients, improve their knee joint function and body inflammatory responses, increase the anterior temperature of the knee joint, and infrared thermal imaging has an important value in evaluating the clinical efficacy of KOA.
