Vocational Education Helps Revitalize Rural Talents:Value Orientation,Realistic Dilemma and Action Direction
The revitalization of the countryside is preceded by talents,and vocational education has the historical responsibility of cultivating various kinds of talents in short supply for the revitalization of the countryside.From the perspective of human capital theory,the revitalization of rural talents is essentially a matter of developing and optimizing rural human capital.Vocational education should give full play to its own advantages and focus on cultivating innovative production and management talents,complex rural governance talents and lifelong learning scientific and technological talents for the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.However,the shortage of teachers,the bias of talent cultivation and the lack of local attractiveness seriously limit the effectiveness of vocational education as the main channel of high-quality human capital investment in rural areas at this stage.Therefore,the government and vocational colleges should first improve the replenishment mechanism of rural quality vocational education teachers to cultivate the soil for the growth of innovative production and management talents;secondly,fill the short board of non-cognitive ability cultivation to optimize the cultivation mode of compound rural governance talents;finally,pay attention to long-term investment in human capital to support lifelong learning science and technology talents throughout their careers.
