Analysis of Three Orientations for Vocational Education Teachers'Use of Teaching Materials:Based on the Perspective of Habermas'Theory of Cognitive Interest
Habermas'theory of cognitive interest is of guiding significance for analyzing the orientations of vocational education teachers'use of teaching materials.Under the technical orientation,the stance of vocational education teachers'use of teaching materials is based on the instrumental rationality,and the form of teachers'use of teaching materials manifests as mechanical execution dominated by reproduction.Under the practical orientation,the stance of vocational education teachers'use of teaching materials is based on communicative rationality,and the form of teachers'use of teaching materials manifests as adaptive application under the interpretation of relationships.Under the emancipatory orientation,the stance of vocational education teachers'use of teaching materials is based on critical rationality,and the form of teachers'use of teaching materials manifests as autonomous creation based on teaching contexts.Each of these three orientations has its advantages and applicable scope,as well as possible challenges and risks.It requires vocational education teachers to integrate various orientations in the process of using teaching materials to create high-quality teaching and promote students'high-quality development.
