High-quality Development of Higher Vocational Education in Provincial Areas:Theoretical Logic,Practical Challenges and Development Strategies
The provincial areas'high-quality development of higher vocational education is the cornerstone of China's high-quality development of higher vocational education and should become the focus of the future promotion of a high-quality development strategy.The continuous strengthening of the provincial government's power to coordinate education and the continuous implementation of the financing mechanism of higher vocational education based on the input of providers are the theoretical and logical basis for promoting the high-quality development of higher vocational education focusing on the provincial area.At present,China's higher vocational education faces many new challenges.In terms of several development indicators,such as the number of higher vocational education institutions in specific provinces,there is a significant difference between provinces,highlighting the uneven development between regions.Regarding the investment in general public budget education funds per student in different provinces,there is also a significant gap.Therefore,strategies for advancing the high-quality development of provincial higher vocational education in our country in the future have been proposed.Firstly,a new strategy for regional cooperation in higher vocational education should be promoted by focusing on the major regional cooperation strategies implemented by the state,thereby creating a new pattern for regional cooperation in higher vocational education.Secondly,in terms of the high-quality development of provincial higher vocational education,it is essential to introduce provincial policy innovations and increase funding investment in order to achieve the coordinated development of higher vocational education within various regions of a province.
