Response of Wintering Waterbird Communities on Reclamation of Coastal Wetland in The Southern Hangzhou Bay
Investigations were carried out on waterbirds communities change at coastal wetland of the southern Hangzhou Bay,Zhejiang province in the winter of 2011 and 2015. The results showed that the number of water birds increased in 2015 and the dominant species was shorebirds. Comparisons on number of birds between the two investigations demonstrated that geese and duck increased significantly (P<0.05, Z=-1.999), shorebird had no significant variation,but Fulica atra decreased Evidently.There were no obvious difference of biodiversity,evenness and richness index between the two years.The investigation showed that a part of natural intertidal zone was reclaimed,and became the second habitat of some waterbirds.However,wetland was still the main habitat for waterbirds.Recommendations were offered such as reduce reclamation area and manage water level for maintain waterbirds population.
