The Impact Assessment of Village Ecotourism Construction Projects on the Biodiversity of the Luoping Wanfengshan Municipal Nature Reserve
Villages within nature reserves are suitable for carrying out ecotourism activities, but the construction of ecotourism projects in these vil-lages can have some impact on the nature reserve. This article uses the ecotourism development project in Tangli'ao Village,Luoping County,Qujing City,Yunnan Province,as an example to evaluate its impact on the biodiversity of the Luoping Wanfengshan Municipal Nature Reserve from six lev-els:landscape,community(habitat),population/species,main conservation targets, biosecurity, and social factors. The results show that the biodiversi-ty impact index of the construction project on the nature reserve is 51.40,which belongs to a moderate to low impact level.Combined with the actual situation of the reserve, the article proposes measures for the construction and operation phases, such as strengthening the education of construction workers on the protection of wildlife, improving construction management, registering and cataloging materials entering the reserve, conducting geo-logical assessments in gentle slope areas, promptly restoring vegetation, controlling tourist capacity during the operation phase, conducting nature edu-cation,and performing ecological monitoring.
