Effects of Functional Foliar Fertilizer on Leaf Physiological Characteristics and Grain Yield of Hybrid Rice
In order to explore the optimal formula of functional foliar fertilizer for rice, the effects of different formulae of functional foliar fertilizer applied at the heading stage were studied on the leaf physiological characteristics and grain yield of hybrid rice. The results showed that, after spraying four different formulae of functional foliar fertilizer, the rice leaf chlorophyll (Chl.) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, nitrate reductase (NR) activity, dry matter content and soluble sugar content were all increased to a different extent but the malondialdehyde (MDA) content was decreased, compared with those of the control (spraying water).Four formulae of functional foliar fertilizer increased the grain yield of rice by 0.57%-5.20%.Among them,Formula 3 was found to be the optimal formula because it could effectively raise the physiological activity of the functional leaves in the late growth stage, promote the accumulation of dry matter, and markedly increase the grain yield of rice.
