Effects of Potassium and Sulfur Interaction on Yield and Quality of Indica Hybrid Rice Y Liangyou 900
To clarify the effects of the interaction between potassium and sulfur on the yield and quality of indica hybrid rice, using the indica hybrid rice Y Liangyou 900 as the experimental material,a hydroponic experiment was conducted throughout the whole growth period cultured with 0.5 and 2.0 mmol/L of potassium concentrations(LK and HK,respectively)and 80.0 and 260.0 μmol/L of sulfur concentrations(LS and HS,respectively),in which four treatments of LKLS,LKHS,HKLS and HKHS were set up to analyze the differences of rice yield,RVA spectrum characteristic values, contents of protein components and four mineral elements under different treatments. The results showed that under hydroponic conditions, lower concentration of sulfur(80.0 μmol/L)combined with higher concentration of potassium(2.0 mmol/L)increased the contents of Cu,Mg and protein in rice, which could improve the nutritional value and yield of rice. However, higher concentration of sulfur(260.0 μmol/L)combined with higher concentration of potassium(2.0 mmol/L)significantly increased amylose content and gel consistency of rice, reduced the setback value(SBV)and the recovery value(CSV),which could improve the cooking and eating quality.
