Breeding and Application of High-quality Aromatic CMS Line Jiudu A in Rice
Jiudu A,derived from testcrossing and subsequent successive backcrossing between Yixiang 6A and an excellent single plant selected from the F3 progeny of the cross between Yixiang 9B(Yixiang 1B/Ⅱ-32B)and Yixiang 1B,is a high-quality CMS line in rice developed by Yibin Academy of Agricultural Sciences.In 2021,it was technically identified by Sichuan Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee.This male sterile line has the characteristics of stable fertility,excellent grain quality,good restorability and strong combining ability.The hybrid combination Jiuduyou 586 derived from Jiudu A and Shuhui 586 was registered and released by Sichuan Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in 2022.
