Breeding of New Two-line Indica Hybrid Rice Combination Yunliangyou 9801 with Good Grain Quality and High Yield
Yunliangyou 9801,derived from high-quality indica-type soft rice photo-thermo-sensitive genic male sterile line(PTGMS)line Yunruan 221S and strong indica restorer line Yunhui 9801 with good grain quality and high combining ability,is a new indica hybrid rice combination developed by the Food Crops Institute of Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences.It has the characteristics of high and stable yield,wide adaptability and excellent grain quality.It was registered and released to commercial production by Yunnan Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in 2023.The parental characteristics,breeding process and application techniques of the combination were introduced.
